Hello. My name is Kelly, I am 22 years old, and I live in Louisiana, right outside of New Orleans. Just a little bit of information about me, since I have never posted here before I am going to nursing school in January, and am looking for tips on how I can prepare. Study tips. Test Aides. I do have Saunderapos;s NCLEX-RN Review, but I am actually looking for something else that is organized into topics. I am going to be taking Basics in Nursing, and am looking for aides that will cover the topics covered in the course (like nutrition, documentation, communication, and so forth). Are there any such aides out there that are designed for each semester of nursing school? Do any of you have any helpful suggestions for me? I am certainly getting my textbooks early and reading far ahead. I am mainly concerned about the tests, since they are critical thinking and I suppose can be somewhat tricky. At least the Saunders book is helping me to get acquainted with it. But I am always looking for more :o) Graduates, what would you say was your greatest help in getting through nursing school? Did your routine stay the same through each semester? So basically, any great NCLEX study aides, tips, organization, flash cards, pocket books, helpful websites (Any online practice tests?)... Shoot I am hoping for this to be my greatest semester ever. Thank you.
